Complete guides, strategies, and history for every game on BoardWar.

Tic Tac Toe

Place X and O on a 3×3 grid. The first player to make three in a row wins; if all cells fill without a line, the game is a draw.

Take the center when possible, watch for forks, and block an opponent who has two marks in a row.

Ultimate Tic Tac Toe

Play nine small Tic Tac Toe boards arranged in a 3×3 meta-grid. The cell you choose sends your opponent to the corresponding small board.

Win small boards to claim spaces on the large board. Plan several moves ahead while sending the opponent to a board that limits their options.

Chess

Move pieces across an 8×8 board to checkmate the opposing king. BoardWar includes castling, en passant, promotion, and check detection.

Control the center, develop pieces early, protect your king, and look for forcing moves before committing to an attack.

Checkers

Move pieces diagonally, capture whenever a capture is available, and reach the opposite side to become a king. Multiple jumps can happen in one turn.

Look for forced capture sequences, protect pieces from being trapped, and keep your back row secure until you need to advance.

Sudoku

Fill a 9×9 grid so each row, column, and 3×3 box contains every number from 1 through 9 exactly once.

Start with cells that have the fewest candidates, use pencil-style deduction, and avoid guessing until every logical option is exhausted.

Battleship

Place your fleet, then call coordinates to find and sink the opponent's hidden ships. Local play uses a screen-hiding step to keep fleets secret.

After a hit, search adjacent cells systematically. Track misses and sunk ships so every later shot narrows the remaining possibilities.

Solitaire

Build four foundation piles from Ace to King while arranging alternating colors in descending order across the tableau.

Expose hidden cards early, keep empty columns available for Kings, and use the stock carefully so useful moves remain available.

Ludo

Roll the dice, bring tokens onto the track, capture opposing tokens, and get all of your pieces safely to the center before the other players.

Use safe spaces when a capture is unlikely, balance progress across tokens, and consider which move changes the next player's options.

Tetris

Rotate and place falling tetrominoes to complete horizontal lines. Completed lines disappear and increase your score as the level speeds up.

Keep the stack low, preserve a clean column for I pieces, and use the hold and ghost-piece preview to plan the next placement.

BlockWar

Place groups of three blocks on an 8×8 grid and clear complete rows or columns. Consecutive clears build combos and fill the Rage Meter.

Keep the center flexible, plan all three offered pieces together, and save the Blast piece for a crowded board or a valuable combo.

BoardMines

Reveal safe cells on a minefield using numbered clues. A number tells you how many mines touch that cell, including diagonals.

Flag certain mines, compare neighboring clues, and use the border of an opened region to identify cells that are forced safe or dangerous.

WormWar

Steer a growing worm through the arena, collect energy, avoid collisions, and outlast the field. Local offline and online arena modes are available.

Leave room to turn as the worm grows, use the minimap to avoid crowded routes, and save a speed burst for escaping danger.
